What is Renuvion?
Renuvion is a minimally-invasive, one time treatment that goes beneath the skins surface to target skin-laxity at the source of its problem. The use of Renuvion is considered a body contouring procedure. The wand like device works by delivering radiofrequency energy and helium plasma to subcutaneous tissue. Essentially, a probe heats up subdermal tissue to the optimal conditions to allow for collagen contraction below the skins surface. That contraction is what allows loose skin to tighten over time post-operatively. This treatment is currently cleared for use by the FDA and can be used in conjunction with liposuction.
When is Renuvion used?
Renuvion is used in certain patients with moderate skin-laxity. At the time of your plastic surgery consultation, it is important to understand your aesthetic goals, options, and expectations. Some patients may require more invasive treatments such as a full-face lift, tummy tuck, or brachioplasty. Depending on the skin-laxity, Renuvion can be used on its own or in conjunction with liposuction.
What are the results?
The full long term affects of this treatment are not typically seen for 6-9 months post procedure, as this is the amount of time it takes for the body to fully heal. The Renuvion website has numerous results click here to visit
